Timeless Virtues For Your Inner Peace

If we look at the essence of philosophical, psychological, ethical, and religious teachings through thousands of years of human history we find many common points that are repeated in almost all of them.

These are mostly virtues that are recommended as ways to reach a balanced and happy life. The similarities are quite striking at times, but in essence there are no surprises as they all talk about the same phenomena: The human’s life.

It seems that these essential virtues are timeless and have passed the test of validity over millennia.

Some of these timeless virtues are:

  • Honesty
  • Courage
  • Loyalty
  • Service
  • Harmony
  • Simplicity
  • Patience
  • Compassion
  • Forgiveness
  • Letting go
  • Duty
  • Living in the moment
  • Love
  • Positivity
  • Justice
  • Humility
  • Honor
  • Politeness
  • Courtesy
  • Public good
  • Philanthropy
  • Moderation
  • Tolerance
  • Inclusivity
  • Sheltering
  • Resiliency
  • and Kindness (to name a few!)


Cultivating these virtues are known to elevate life to a better chance for inner peace and happiness.

Which number of these virtues define us the best, and which ones do we like to cultivate more?

It can be a decision that we make today!
